A single branch of wild rose hips — a digital illustration in a watercolour-and-ink style. Printed on heavy cotton rag paper with a soft matte surface.
Size
A good middle size. Fits a 16 × 20 frame with a mat.
Why we made one print
We chose rose hips because they're the part of a rose nobody photographs — the bit left over in autumn, after the flowers have gone.
We could have made a dozen prints. We made one, and spent the time on the paper, the inks and the packing instead.
